Gateways & Servers
RoIP Gateways (RG) (or RoIP Interface Units -RIU) connect a radio to the IP network. The unit converts radio voice communications and tone signaling for transport via an IP-Network. RG’s also provide digital I/O to the radio, (RS-232/GPIO). Specialized RG’s provide functionality such as Virtual Control Heads, Intercom and PSTN/Cellular access. RoIP Network Solutions comprise devices and applications to extend and upgrade RoIP/Radio networks. All devices and application integrate seamlessly with RG-Series and SoftRadio.

Operator Intercom, 2-wire
RGx1 VCH RoIP Gateway
Description: The RGx1 VCH is a RGx1 with an additional interconnect to a radio’s Control Head. The VCH-series enables the SoftRadio operator to use a Virtual Control Head and utilise the radio’s control head remotely.
Options
Ericsson Aurora / Niros TRX3001
Ericsson Aurora / Niros with extra trigger functions
Icom IC-F1610/2610
Motorola GM380/GM1280
Motorola MTM700/MTM800
Sepura SRM/SRG/2000/3500
Further radio-specific units are in development. Please contact us for more information.
RGx1 PSTN Gateway
Description: RGx1 PSTN Gateway provides an interconnect between RoIP and PSTN via 2-Wire DTMF. Form and build are as the RGx1 series RIU’s
RGx1 GSM/3G Gateway
Description: RGx1 GSM/3GGateway provides an interconnect between RoIP and a GSM/3G Network via a GSM/3G module. Form and build are as the RGx1 series RIU’s. (GSM/3G Module is not included)
RGx1 Intercom
Description: RGx1 Intercom provides a dedicated Intercom channel for the network, useful e.g. in ad-hoc deployments such as emergencies or where RF is not feasible. RGx1 Intercom utilises two dedicated RIU’s and attached intercom consoles. (available separately)
RGx1 SoftLine
Description: RGx1 SoftLine provides a user-generic RoIP channel between two RIU’s. SoftLine allows operations to replace dedicated interconnects such as leased lines r 2/4-wirelines with an IP-based solution. SoftLine includes:
Audio Line
RS-232 interconnect
Generic/configurable I/O Ports
Options:
Sepura Control Head extension
Motorola Control Head extension
SoftLine requires two RIU’s per channel/line
Radio Interconnect Kits
Description: Interconnect kits are pre-configured wiring assemblies used to connect the RG (network work interface) to the radio.
Options
Motorola GM1280 with “Expansion Head”
Motorola GM380/GM1280 with “Remote Head”
Motorola MTM700/MTM800
CM&GM-series w/o control head connection
Icom IC-F1610/2610
Ericsson Aurora / Niros TRX3001

RoIP Network Solutions
RN8x8 RoIP Radio Server
Description: The RN 8×8 RoIP Radio Server enables dynamic TCP/IP-access (8×8) to a radio-site. RN 8×8 allows up to 8 dispatchers to each connect to up to 8 radios at the radio-site.
RN30x30 RoIP Radio Server
Description: The RN30x30 is a further development of the 8×8 RoIP Radio Server. The unit enables dynamic TCP/IP-access (30×30) to a radio-site. RN30x30 allows up to 30 dispatchers to dynamically connect to up to 30 radios at the radio-site.
RoIP Network Repeater
Description: The Network Repeater allows (up to 99) operators to access (up to 99) remote RIU’s without having to establish a dedicated RoIP channel for each connection. The Repeater manages the TCP connection between RIU’s and SoftRadio consoles.
Audio Access Server
Description: Audio Access Server enables operations to export audio to other systems (Server SW w/out PC)
